Toni Segarra (Barcelona, 1962), has a degree in Hispanic Philology. He started working in advertising in 1985. At the beginning of his career, he worked for agencies such as Vinizius, Vizeversa y Contrapunto.
He was one of the founding partners of Casadevall Pedreño SPR. In 1991, he was named Head of the Creative Department at Delvico Bates. In 1996, he founded *S,C,P,F… along with Luis Cuesta, Félix Fernández de Castro and Ignasi Puig.
He has collaborated on award-winning campaigns for major national and international festivals, including one of the only two Grand Prix of the Cannes Festival, considered unanimously to be the most important award in the world. *S,C,P,F… has won 13 Lions at Cannes and more than 80 awards at the San Sebastián Festival (5 Grand Prizes), various EFI awards (effective advertising) and LAUS (graphic design). *S,C,P,F… is the agency with the most quality pieces selected in the first 10 years of the Club de Creativos (“Creative Club”), which selects the best Spanish annual production. He has participated as a judge at the Cannes Festival, the British D&AD, the Club de Creativos and the San Sebastian Festival, among others. He is a member of the Miami Ad School boards in Hamburg and the Berlin School of Creative Leadership.
In 2000, the magazine Anuncios chose him as the best creator of the century, based on a professional survey of the sector and advertisers. In 2007, British Shots selected him as one of the “100 top creative minds” in the world. And in 2009, El Publicista conducted a survey of thousands of industry professionals, in which he was chosen as the best creator of the decade. That same year, the Ibero-American Festival of Advertising chose him as one of the four Spanish members of the Ibero-American Hall of Fame, which features the most outstanding professionals in Latin America.
In May of 2009, the publishing house Espasa published his first book: Desde el otro lado del escaparate (From the other side of the shop window), a selection of his reflections regarding the profession.
