All the IED Madrid Masters involve collaborating with companies to develop real projects. Camper is one of the collaborating brands.

The Camper brand is one of the leading companies in Spain in innovation, multiculturality, conceptual research and international reach, characteristics it shares with the Master of European Design Labs. These similarities were cemented in an experimental workshop on footwear design and manufacturing. Held at Son Forteza, the company’s factory of ideas, this workshop consisted of presenting the company with projects inspired by the students’ challenge to apply their imaginations in improving the activity of walking.

Students from different disciplines such as fashion design, audiovisual design and illustration, worked over the course of a week, applying their specific knowledge of designing accessories, sense of aesthetics, ability to interpret their surroundings and adjust them to their creativity. They elaborated proposals, combining different disciplines: anatomy, mechanics, physics, ergonomics, industrial footwear manufacturing processes, illustration, graphic representation, marketing…
