Methodology and Program

The Master of European Design Labs methodology is concretized by the sum of experiences and training culminating in a personal thesis project.

In four complementary phases throughout the course, students are nurtured with theoretical and practical contributions they may use to elaborate their final project. The Cultural Observatory, a cycle of specialized conferences, is developed throughout the entire program year to complement and strengthen the evolution of the thesis project, giving students an ample vision of present-day design. The trips are concentrated in the first half of the year and allow participants to enrich their perspective and level of specialization. The workshops, true experimentation workshops, are also concentrated in the first six months, while the seminars offer students technical and cultural support throughout the entire year.

The program has been organized into four phases: research, development, production and exhibition, each with an academic program tailored for every moment of the idea development process. Continuous training allows students to research, experiment and defend their proposals, produce models, present them and reflect on their pros and cons. Students will be accompanied by tutors, design professionals and others related to the different fields of design and communications throughout the entire process.
