Trips

The national and international trips are organised according to the content and needs of the programme, and represent a basic training tool of the Masters of Design and Innovation.
The presence of the students in some of the most important cities connected with the field of design helps them to enrich their activity and experience. These places become a way of experiencing, learning and establishing new contacts.
The relationship with different cultures, scenery and ways of living is essential for students to develop all their ability and promote a divergent, innovative and extraordinary way of thinking. Some venues include workshops, while others make it possible to visit spaces and take part in events linked to the world of business, design, communication and creativity. The trips are devised as a basic training experience so that students create a map of global trends and structure their thinking with a critical vision.
In previous editions visits were made to places such as:

• Milan: the epicentre of industrial design during the month of April, when the most important events centred around design take place. Design fairs such as the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, Salone Satellite, Triennale, Spazio Rossana Orlandi, etc. showcase the most innovative trends in the field of design, both by established firms and emerging designers and artists. At the same time, art galleries and design schools present a new centre of cultural activity in the Ventura Lambrate area.
• Paris: the great art museums: Palais de Tokyo, Centre Pompidou, Le Petit Palais, etc. and also great cultural, artistic and design centres, like the Espace Culturel Louis Vuitton, Maison Baccara, etc. are the source of ideas and inspiration for students.
• London: the city becomes the design capital during the week of the London Design Festival. The cultural and artistic life of London intensifies around this event. Numerous galleries, museums and showrooms open their doors to show the latest trends in design, art and fashion in an intense and inspiring experience.

There is also the possibility, in some of the Masters of Design and Innovation, of taking an optional trip, which is offered outside the programme, and which the student can voluntarily take if he or she is interested in both the places and conditions of the trip. In previous editions, these trips have been to Silicon Valley and China.
