All the IED Madrid Masters involve collaborating with companies to develop real projects.
Fun&Basics is one of the collaborating brands. The company Fun&Basics shares the Master’s interest in design as a decisive branding tool to improve their public image and visual communications.
The workshop, In&Out, was focused on students creating and developing the line “Add fun to your life,” giving it an urban air with a certain “punto canalla” to the brand’s products, elements and “atmospheres.”
The students worked with different languages, such as comics and graffiti, to create innovative projects through products of the universe of Fun&Basics, as well as strategic projects for optimizing the brand image using the company’s facilities; specifically, the store on Calle Fuencarral in Madrid, where the proposed design was showcased in their display window for a few weeks. The design played with the company’s logo, including a varied selection of unique pairs: Starsky & Hutch, Thelma & Louis, Bread & Butter, etc.
