Program Leader: Carlos Barrabés

Carlos Barrabés, born in Huesca in 1970, is the Director of Barrabes Ski Montaña SLU, a company that specializes in sports and mountaineering stores, and has primarily dedicated himself to the internet business since 1996. A pioneer of electronic commerce in Spain, Carlos is valued as one of the most enterprising Spanish entrepreneurs.

He began his career with his first mountain equipment store with sales service via the internet. This initiative later generated other businesses, such as consulting, a publishing house and a network of 10 actual stores. Carlos Barrabés is currently an advisor to major national and international companies and institutions, based on his own experience.

He is also a regular conference speaker on technology topics, a reference point in the world of Spanish SMEs, and actively participates in Ashoka, the largest social innovation network in the world.

He has won awards such as: PC World, Ibest and “Best Company” from the Association of Internet Users. He is currently the direct Business and New Technologies Advisor for organizations such as the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, ICEX and Vodafone. The European Commission and the Senate have also been witness to his words.

In 2010, he was chosen as one of the top young global leaders by the Davos World Economic Forum among over 5000 other candidates.
