Trips
The national and international trips are organised according to the content and needs of the programme, and represent a basic training tool of the Masters of Design and Innovation.
The presence of the students in some of the most important cities connected with the field of design helps them to enrich their activity and experience. These places become a way of experiencing, learning and establishing new contacts.
The relationship with different cultures, scenery and ways of living is essential for students to develop all their ability and promote a divergent, innovative and extraordinary way of thinking. Some venues include workshops, while others make it possible to visit spaces and take part in events linked to the world of business, design, communication and creativity. The trips are devised as a basic training experience so that students create a map of global trends and structure their thinking with a critical vision.
In previous editions visits were made to places such as:
• Copenhagen: the Danish capital brings together some of the best examples of companies specialised in Design Thinking and strategic design and complies perfectly with the Scandinavian concept of design: sustainability+innovation+functionality as essential premises.
• Berlin: regarded as an essential city in the world of design, it is internationally known as the great creative metropolis, which has enabled it to be the first German city to enter the world network of “Creative Cities” and it is also at the forefront of the fields of design, architecture, art and creativity.
• San Francisco/Silicon Valley: young professionals from all over the world have ended up at the birthplace of the best technological businesses today, motivated by a unique, enterprising ecosystem.
There is also the possibility, in some of the Masters of Design and Innovation, of taking an optional trip, which is offered outside the programme, and which the student can voluntarily take if he or she is interested in both the places and conditions of the trip. In previous editions, these trips have been to Silicon Valley and China.
