After a year dedicated to exploring the different fields and possibilities of design at Master of European Design Labs 2009, she is one of the winners of the Faces of Design Awards 2010. She also received a special mention from the judges.

Claudia Caviezel was one of the highest voted finalists, and therefore will be able to choose from three major companies she would like to work with and be presented personally. Her portfolio was selected among more than 100 designer finalists of different specialties from all over the world.

Regarding her work, the designer explains: “Parallel to my textile design studies, I have always searched for an interdisciplinary exchange. Therefore, I have collaborated with different designers and manufacturers, such as brands of industrial clothing, high-tech outdoor companies, architects, film directors, scenography designers, trends studies, etc.”

After five years of working at Jakob Schlaepfer, she increasingly felt the need to search for that interaction and the desire to expand her professional experience ”beyond the frontiers of design.” This led her to participate in Master of European Design Labs. The Master’s provided “a great opportunity to develop my perspectives, expand my network of professional contacts and add a new specialty to my work: a major boost to work with new companies, designers and markets. Facing the immediate future, I want to work on my own projects, either freelance or in collaboration with different firms and creators.”
