Master of European Design Labs 2008 students travel to Sweden and Denmark

Between 6 and 12 May, Master of European Design Labs 2008′ students travelled to Sweden and Denmark, visiting Stockholm, Malmo and Copenhagen. While in Stockholm, they paid a visit to Konstfack (University College of Arts, Crafts and Design), a public university that was born from the sponsorship of Ericsson.It is a university workshop geared towards the world of design and applied arts.

They also visited Arkitekturmuseet and the head offices of Ikea in Älmhut to see the company and its museum. In Malmö, they visited the Form Design Centre, the Malmö Konsthall and Moderna Museet, amongst others.

In Copenhagen, they visited the headquarters of Fritz Hansen, the world’s leading furniture design company, and Production Manager Sigga Heimis showed them the studio where the handcrafted products are designed and created.
