Master of European Design Labs 2010 visits Milan

The 2010 European Design Labs students began their itinerary in Milan from April 13th to the 18th. They experienced days of frenetic activity during Design Week with the celebration of the Salone del Mobile and the Fuori Salone.

They visited exhibitions, attended inaugurations, cocktails and presentations, important institutions and held meetings with designers.
At the Salone Satellite they visited a great variety of stands , including the Spanish designer Álvaro Catalán, who won the Design Report Award. They had various meetings with design professionals at the Triennale, such as Japanese designer Kita Toshiyuki, who accompanied them during their visit to the monographics exhibition.

At the Fuori Salone, they visited the Rossana Orlandi Space, where the work of Tomás Alonso, Alexa Lixfeld and Piet Heen Eek, among others, was exhibited, as well as visiting the Castiglioni Museum-Studio. They also attended Jaime Hayon‘s installation for Enel at the Cortili dell’ Università Statale,  the collaboration of El Último Grito at the inaguration of the new store Replay, the ‘Wonderlamp’ exhibition by Pieke Bergmans and the Studio Jobs exhibition at Dilmos, as well as the presentation-brunch for the Fabrica Design new collection at the Palazzo Borromeo.

As well, they visited the Superstudio Più in Zona Tortona, where they met Walter Davanzo, and they visited the spaces of Design Academy Eindhoven, from the Politecnico di Milano of the Maarten Baas studio and the ‘13.798 Grams of Design’ exhibition in Ventura Lambrate, accompanied by their comissary, Cristina Didero.
