The Challengemakers Day returns to the Masters of Design and Innovation on the 18th of June. A crucial moment for reflection so that the students can become leaders of their professional development and are ready to become the stars of the challenges they will face throughout this process.
We’ll explore some essential questions to build a possible future such as the commitment with change and the eco innovation as a promising way to live a balanced and sustainable life. In the last part we’ll experience how wit and passion influences a successful business and how a personal story can change depending on where we put the focus of our attention.
During this second edition, The Challengermakers Day is consolidating its role as a complement to the teaching offered at the Masters of Design and Innovation, providing a new perspective so that the students may face a professional market in constant change.
10.00 Zooming or the art of looking at things differently and deciding to change the World by Nuria Pérez Paredes
New times call for a new mentality. Things need to change and everybody
needs to be a changemaker. The art of zooming is the art of looking at things
in a different way. A way that is more proactive, positive and cooperative. We
can all be part of the solution, we just need that itch inside that pushes as to
stand up and try new things.
Nuria Pérez Paredes is the Changemaking Skills and Communication director in Ashoka Spain. She is also founder of the NGO “Teach a Talent”.
11.00 Do you really want to apply eco design? by Jon Marín
Sustainability, ecodesign, ecochic, sustainable design… Everybody talks about design under sustainable criteria. But are we really conscious about what sustainable design means? What is it? Who is involved? What does it represent for the environment? Trough practical samples, we will review all these concepts and we will try to understand how to properly apply ecodesign in our professional work.
Jon Marín is co-founder of the study design and eco-innovation Nutcreatives.
Currently, professor of Packaging and Innovation Processes, Ecodesign and Bionics.
