Design Thinking applied to Il Carrello, redesign accompanied by Ciszak Dalmas and Tiago Miranda

Every day, in Ciszak Dalmas they experiment to design new types of products, interactions, services and forms of communication, and it is just that spirit which they instil in the Masters of Design and Innovation students, with a transverse project for the four masters.

Ciszak Dalmas is a young design studio in Madrid founded by Alberto Gobbino Ciszak and Andrea Caruso Dalmas, both ex-students of the Master of European Design Labs of 2008.

Trusting that they can make changes with small design actions, in that same year they launched La Clínica, a collection of furniture made with natural materials by craftsmen from Madrid, Turin and São Paulo.

The series investigates the relation between a design and its interpretation, which, in each region, produces a different object, according to its old production technique  and local materials. One of the star designs of this collection is Il Carrello: a display trolley for stores, fairs and restaurants, which can be personalized and adapted to any need.

Every day, in Ciszak Dalmas they experiment to design new types of products, interactions, services and forms of communication, and it is just that spirit which they instil in the Masters of Design and Innovation students, with a transverse project for the four masters.

Moreover, together with the designer, Tiago Miranda, the students will be the protagonists of different sessions of Design Thinking so that they can subsequently use that knowledge and methodology for the transformation and redesign of Il Carrello.

With the clear purpose of achieving new uses for this trolley, each master will apply its specific knowledge, creating in this way different synergies within the design process, in which each professional will contribute his own particular view: conceptual design, business strategy, communication strategy, etc.
