Copenhagen may well be considered the coolest city in northern Europe. Its strong architectural heritage, the world-famous (and imitated) Nordic design, together with its recognition as one of the happiest cities in the world, make the Danish capital the ideal destination for the students of the Master of Strategic Design Labs.
An opportunity to discover innovative projects, broaden their vision of design and make contact with renowned design professionals. All of this in a city which over recent years has become a benchmark in design, sustainability and innovation.
In addition, the students crossed the border into Sweden, specifically to the city of Malmö, to visit the IKEA headquarters. A visit in which they were able to meet Anne Morgan (People Framework Leader at Ikea) and check in situ the basis for the vision, business idea and concept of the Swedish giant: to provide quality home furnishing products at affordable prices.
An itinerary in which to breathe design, with Alejandro Briceño (Tutor of the Master of Strategic Design Labs) as a guide, through its museums, such as the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art or Design Museum; workshops with industry professionals, visits various leading design studios or the characteristic Christiania district.

A multi-disciplinary team of consultants, designers and facilitators, made up of researchers and pioneers in business, design, learning and creativity. A visit in which the students participated in a workshop on how to approach strategy projects through gamification.

A source of inspiration for the students where they were able to attend a lecture on the future of organisations and the importance of emerging technologies and design in the business world.
Red Associates is an innovation and strategy consulting company with over 10 years’ experience in creating new business concepts focused on real people. Its work is based on exploration using social science tools to understand how people experience their reality and, in turn, offering businesses a “reality check”. The consulting company is the ideal environment for inspiring students to create their own methodology to address challenges in major companies, a workshop in which they face the challenge of rethinking the future of money through design.

The students had the opportunity to attend an inspiring lecture on how the company has been able to create powerful brands by creating narrative universes and combining offline/online experiences.
