As an essential part of the Masters of Design and Innovation, students take part in exclusive meetings with renowned professionals from the national and international realm.
On this occasion, two reference points in Italian design, Enrico Baleri and Maurizio Montalti, visited the IED Master school to share, in a very approachable way, their experience with the students taking the MA courses, and to offer them the chance to obtain a full, professional and multidisciplinary vision of the sector.
These meetings have offered the perfect setting to establish a dialogue between the students and these established designers. In a context of debate and dialogue, the students have been able to exchange opinions and delve into key reflections to direct their path as future designers, to establish their personal brand or to decide where to take their final projects.
Enrico Baleri (entrepreneur, designer, project-maker and founder of eb&c),
looked, along with students, at issues regarding the authenticity and lightness of a product, in order to assign appropriate technology, message and language, as well as the relationship between these elements. In essence, it means being a bearer of the flag of modernity, “form follows function”.
Maurizio Montalti (a researcher, designer and founder of Officina Corpuscoli) reflected, along with the students of the Masters of Design and Innovation, on the trans-disciplinary focus on design and research into experimental design. Its aim was to share and disseminate the experience and knowledge generated through the Officina Corpuscoli practice of design, introduced and directed by Montalti himself.
