“Periodontal health for a better life.”
The creatives of the Masters of Design and Innovation face the first major challenge of the course: a project in partnership with the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP). An opportunity to form part of such an important issue as human health.
The European Federation of Periodontology (EFP), founded in 1991, is an umbrella organisation of 30 national scientific societies devoted to promoting research, education and awareness of periodontal science and practice. Some of its partners are: Dentaid, Oral-B / P & G, Sunstar, Johnson & Johnson, Colgate, Geistlich Biomaterials and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).
The 32 creatives will work in multidisciplinary teams using co-creation methodologies in order to create an awareness campaign and a new image for EFP that will allow it to lead the global scientific conversation on periodontal health, oral hygiene and implantology.
Sharon Legendre –EFP Director of Operation– and David Herrera –EFP delegate for the Spanish Periodontology Society (SEPA)– came to our headquarters, IED Innovation Lab, to explain what periodontology is, what EFP is and what they need from the young creatives.
The 6 projects developed will be presented in May to the EFP President, Gernot Wimmer, and to the Secretary General, Iain Chapple, who will select the winning project. The creators of the selected project will be invited to give a presentation in EuroPerio9, where they can meet partners from the dental industry.
A real project that will place the students of the Masters of Design and Innovation in an “agency environment” in which synergies between individual talents will be promoted and their horizons extended, thus providing EFP with a new vision to connect with its target audience.
