Creatives are by nature sociable and curious creatures, who, despite belonging to a society which is saturated with impacts, are able to think in a different way and generate new ideas.
As not all sources of information nor contents have the same relevance during the life of a person, this context has given rise to the Masters of Design and Innovation:
Three programmes aimed at creative minds from all over the world who are seeking knowledge and skills that allow them to become protagonists of change. A context in which to develop critical and divergent thinking, analysing today’s society from a range of perspectives, and handling the new challenges posed by the global market and contemporary society.
The Masters of Design and Innovation comprise more than nine months of training. They are true experiences for learning and the personal growth of the creatives.
What do the Masters of Design and Innovation offer?
The Masters of Design and Innovation are based in the Innovation Lab of the IED Madrid, set in the up-and-coming neighbourhood of Carabanchel. A combination of spaces which make the school and ideal venue for the development of the programme: Fab Lab, Media Lab, VR Lab, City Lab, Green Lab and Business Lab.
New learning methods
The programme of the Masters of Design and Innovation is adapted to the new dynamic and interdisciplinary work methods. The creatives will work on the basis of sustainability, leadership, emerging trends, the use of digital tools and communication and the production of projects.
Personal and Professional Network
The Masters of Design and Innovation constitute a meeting point between young talents and professionals. They offer the chance to expand one’s network of contacts, with professionals from a range of fields, and to share experiences with fellow students of different nationalities.
From the first day, the students will have a tutor who will guide them through their adventure: internationally renowned professionals whose skills make them examples to be followed and perfect guides for the programme.
The programme includes European trips to pioneering design cities such as Milan, Berlin, Amsterdam and Copenhagen. Cities in which to get to know the professional context and the latest design trends and studios, take part in workshops at prestigious companies and meet true design gurus.
Additionally, students will take an Intercontinental trip to places they would never have imagined, such as India, South Africa and the Amazon, where they can collaborate with various social institutions.
Conceived as projects labs, the Masters of Design and Innovation seek to offer a differentiating value to current teaching programmes. Through real projects, with Spanish and international companies, we create a favourable context to tackle the challenges posed by the current global market and contemporary society, in the areas of product design, communication, production, design concepts and business strategies.
