We live on an age where the external environment makes compelling and competing demands; in consequence, rarely are people given the time to reflect or mind-wander, generating a widespread lack of self-intuition in society which, has brought forward my main personal concern: the importance of understanding of oneself in the world.
I wanted to think deeply of the possibility if spaces have the power to transport us and revive the expression of the soul by the stimulation of our instinct. Taking into consideration that the human capacity to mental time travel gives us enormous possibilities for realizing our deepest desires, and “if we imagine what we desire, we can create what we will”; stating daydreaming as one of the main sources of human inspiration.
Cleared Daydream installation brings together water, ink and crystal balls to create a carefully constructed situation of color and self-reflection. Thus, each personal experience is created under a unique set of conditions in both space and time to generate an ephemeral contemplative visual experience allowing your mind to let go of the present moment and start daydreaming.
Emotions are often felt in the body, generating body regions temperature to increase or decrease, therefore the viewer is invited to try to actively perceive and explore their own, by adding into water drops of ink which, will represent their temperature in this case.
Consequently within an undemanding environment our minds will be free to roam our rich internal landscape of emotions, images, and fantasies; creating a –reset- moment opportunity for the viewers to embrace the magic of daydreaming. Thereupon the installation aims to raise the awareness of the Imaginative Capabilities of the Human Mind during daydream. Reinforcing the idea of the importance of being able to listen to our intuitive mind and the understanding of oneself in the world to inspire and create.
