Designing, implementing and communicating is more effective when done through a specific project. The Masters of Design and Innovation are based on a cross-curricular approach as a way to link different areas of interests and knowledge in order for the students to obtain a more enriching and comprehensive vision.

The Special Projects of the Masters of Design and Innovation integrate being, knowing, doing, communicating and sharing, guiding the work towards a common project through proposals, values ​​and solutions

1 Ecoalf

Ecoalf is a business model based on sustainable fashion and the circular economy. It emerged in 2012 in response to the overuse of natural resources and the amount of waste produced by industrialized countries.

Students supported the brand in its most ambitious project: Upcycling the Oceans. An initiative that seeks to recover the waste that is destroying the Mediterranean Sea and transform it into high quality yarns to produce fabrics and make clothes and accessories.

The main objective of the collaboration was the development of a communication plan to support and promote the initiative. Young creatives designed interactive platforms to create an international community with whom to share and promote all projects related to the preservation of the oceans.

2 Santillana

Santillana, with over 50 years’ experience, is the leader in Spain and Latin America in the creation of educational content and services.

Maker Soul is a new initiative by the company which seeks to establish links between the most innovative schools in Spain and Latin America, bringing innovation to the classroom and helping schools to become reference points in the sector.

Young creatives identified opportunities for Santillana in the context of new educational needs and devised strategies to strengthen the brand’s positioning as a leader in the education sector.
