In Europe, freelance numbers have increased by 45% in the past year, becoming the fastest growing group in the EU labour market. At the same time, in America the data is even clearer: It is estimated that more than 53 million people work as freelancers. A big part of all these freelancers identify themselves as Digital Nomads, a term that roots from their freedom in choosing their workplace which opens them the borders to work in any place in the world. In so, they become true nomads, only reliant on finding a working space with internet connection and electricity. According to several studies, it is estimated that in 2035 there will be over a million digital nomads.
The current solution in terms of workspaces for digital nomads are limited to co-working spaces and although they are an interesting proposal and very functional they have some limitations for some of these people. The main one is flexibility, as a co-working space does not allow them complete freedom of location, time or price. How can we offer the maximum workspace flexibility for freelancers and digital nomads? Precisely for that, we have created Room-me, a digital platform in which you can book a workspace immediately, wherever you are and for as long as you need to; paying only for the time you make use of it. It involves a service that connects users that are looking for a space to work in which others that offer their available space.
