Paloma Cañizares, 2012 Heineken Award to New Talents
After working with Eduardo Arroyo, Paloma Cañizares, a teacher of the Master of Interior Design and the Master of European Design Labs at the IED Madrid, set up her own architecture studio in 2005. Recently, her work was awarded the 2012 Heineken Award to New Talents, which “pays recognition to the work she has carried out and offers greater professional exposure”, and which has allowed Paloma “to come into contact with new clients, such as Purificación García and Juanjo Oliva”.

Open Innovation with Álvaro Sanmartín, tutor on the Master of Strategic Design Labs
Álvaro Sanmartín Cid, tutor of Open Innovation on the Master of Strategic Design Labs course at IED Madrid is the co-founder of NetDay, a project which aims to create a global meeting point for changemakers, and Floqq, a training marketplace intended to counterbalance unemployment figures (“zero unemployment job figures do exist”).

Grants for the Masters of Design and Innovation 2013
Take part in the grant competition for the Masters of Design and Innovation of the IED Madrid! There are eight grants available, two for each of the MA programmes, and they cover €6,750 for the Master of Communication Design Labs, the Master of Product Design Labs and the Master of Strategic Design Labs, and €8,500 for the Master of European Design Labs.
