Made in Madrid design will soon be landing in Milan. Neo2, a trends magazine, and Dimad, an association of Madrid designers, have come together to organise and innovative product design show, MADtastic. The idea is to go beyond borders with the talent of Madrid designers, as well as other professionals from other cities who have carried out projects in the Spanish capital.
The work of several students of the Master of European Design Labs and the Master of Product Design Labs 2012 has been selected to take part in MADtastic because of its high emerging value and avant garde proposals. A unique opportunity to find a space in Milan, just at the time when it is the centre of European design, during the Salone del Mobile. The following projects will be on display:
- Oltu Storage Vegetable Out Of Fridge by Fabio Molinas
- Pájaros by Carlos Bueno Rivero
- Chai by Nikita Bhate
- Reverie by Sergio Guijarro
- Grid Set by Valvanera Arrieta
- Dividings. Privacidad Expuesta by Raúl López de la Cerda
- Solid Spin. Lamp collection by Johanna Tammsalu
The exhibition, curated by Javier Abio, the editor of Neo2, and Tachy Mora, a journalist specialising in design, will take place at the Instituto Cervantes in Milan. It will open on the 9th of April, and will be on display in this space devoted to the spread of Spanish culture until the 31st of May.
